What makes a great website? There's many answers to that question and to some degree, they all resolve to understanding and implementing the industry's best practices and guidelines. At Pixelcore Studio, we strictly adhere to those standards and techniques while keeping an eye on future trends coming down the road.
As the web has evolved, the actual HTML language it is written in has evolved as well. The World Wide Web Consortium or w3c, sets guidelines and standards for the web. The w3c mission;
"To lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing protocols and guidelines that ensure long-term growth for the Web."
Essentially, what that means is that they make sure everyone is speaking the same lingo, so that web designers produce code that web browsers (Firefox, IE, Safari) can understand. Making this a standard allows you to visit a website in other countries, in other languages, written by other people.
Pixelcore Studio adheres to these standards, creating websites that are flexible, scalable, and accessible to all parties. Look for the xhtml and css links on the bottom of some websites to see if they are standards compliant. As an added bonus, it has been shown that compliant websites typically rank higher than other websites in the search engines.
